Mom is all better. Tomorrow she is having major service on her beloved VW, a 1990 Jetta. It has about 60,000 miles on it, and she is the only driver of the car. So, of course she was thrilled to see Robby in his VW. She is convinced he will win the Dakar since he is driving a VW. Go Robby. I taped the OLN coverage tonight and will watch it in the AM. I noticed they have another spot at 5:30 PM (EST) tomorrow. Hopefully OLN will cover more of it. They do such a fabulous job with the Tour de France.
I am so sorry that Ward Burton does not have a ride. I hope he gets something. He is far too talented to sit on the sidelines, and a great guy to boot. I really enjoyed his segment on Nascar 360 last season. I was so inspired I sent a donation to his Wildlife Foundation. I hope to visit that area soon.
I am still trying to find out if Martin Truex will drive or appear at the Atlantic City Indoor Midgets. He mentioned in an interview last year that he hoped to attend. It is very close to his home. If anyone has heard, please post. I saw my Mom's beloved Tony in a midget race the other day. Who knows maybe he will come to Atlantic City. Believe me, it is now a happening place. Better than ever with lots of new things to do. We even have an Imax now at the Trop which just happens to be showing the Nascar movie. It is a beautiful new theater, and there are lots of restaurants right there.
On a lighter note, I saw on Jayski.com today that Animal Planet is airing a special on February 17 at 8PM (EST) about Nascar drivers and their pets. Geoffrey the dog, will love that!
